I will be there.

Occupy Seattle's 99 Sign

It all started in July, when Adbusters published a call to arms (more specifically to unarmed occupation and protest), which kicked off the Occupy Wall Street movement, which you may or may not have heard much about.

Occupy Seattle is a grassroots satellite protest that stands in solidarity with the New York movement. Groups in major cities across the country are staging similar protests, calling themselves the 99%.

Their website proclaims: “We are here because we are tired of corporations running our government.” If you’re tired too, and want to participate, this group is meeting Saturday, October 1st at 10 a.m. at Westlake Center. It’s suggested that everyone wear a dollar bill with the eye of Providence facing out so that protesters can find each other.
